Thanks for the input - can you creat a computer Lab Group?

Paul have you though of creating a Computer Lab Group on the groups page? I am writing a proposal to Intel to see if we can get money, newer computers and parts to refurbish older computers. Having the group on the ning site would be good back-up.

Yes. Sorry for any confusion. Was trying to limit publishing personal info to web, went a little too far...

The meter I was looking at only measures usage for 120v appliances, not 220v. So unless you know of a better way we can just estimate the energy usage of the in-use fridge, washer/dryer.

Also, found some cost savings calculators put together by EPA/DOE for energy star washer Here .

Let me know when you have time to run an estimate. I will have some free time available middle of next week.

Hi Melissa,
Sure. How about a weekly update at Volunteer Summit? I am thinking this is also a good place to put info about publicity for the lab. Then we can track the effects of publicity on lab use.

If possible Paul can you just send me a msg via this site letting me know the number of people that turn up in the computer lab during your help times so I can attempt to keep track of them....I would GREATLY appreciate this. Have a beautiful day!

that makes sense! (in other words, hahahaha) but, seriously, in the long term, who knows what kind of grants could be involved. do you have much experience with writing them?

Paul,
Thanks again for the computer help! the OS installed without a hitch, and now runs like the day I bought it. Turns out it does have a gig of RAM, so it's treatin' me great :) Anyway, your class is a godsend!

I'll be coming to your computer session today @ 2:00, hoping you can help me resurrect my Dell Dimension8400 (xp sp.2). I tried unsuccessfully to reformat harddrive/reinstall xp. (it claimed to have a problem with setup) Will bring desktop & xp software. Thanks a gigabyte!

Relational Database Management: a micro-course - Question!

I am wondering how many students (if any!) are following this micro-course on Relational Database Management. This is a reasonably complex subject, and so I would expect to have had at least one question by now.

If you are following this, would you post a response to tell me how… Continue
